Greenspace loves being an active part of the community by helping to “spread the green”!
If you run into us at any local event we’re sure to have plenty of seedbombs for you to enjoy! We’d love it if you would share pictures of your new beautiful spaces with us by tagging your pictures on social media with #getmoregreen (you can check our our social media pages by clicking the icons at the bottom of the page)!
What is a seedbomb?
Seedbombs are a great way to spread the “green”. Greenspace seedbombs are specifically created to spread non-invasive wildflowers (meaning they are native to the area and won’t mess up the ecosystem), so feel free to throw them in your yard or even plant them in a pot!
How do I use it?
Be sure to remove any wrappings around your seedbomb before using it. After being “bombed”, it usually takes the plants around 2-3 weeks to start looking impressive and fully grown.
Can I make them myself?
Yes you can – here is how to do it:
Collect clay, compost, seeds, water, and a bowl you don’t mind getting dirty. Mix the ingredients together in the bowl using about 3 parts clay, 5 parts compost, and 1 part seed. Then start to slowly add water and roll into small balls. Lay them out to dry on a sunny windowsill for at least three hours and then they’ll be ready to go!
